In a larger sense, aren’t we all community organizers?

Really sticking my neck out here. I’ll give everybody a chance to figure this one out, and then explain it below:

Okay, this cartoon hinges on the uncanny resemblance of John McCain to Col. Tigh and Sarah Palin to Laura Roslyn, both characters on Battlestar Galactica. And, since all of us fans know that Col. Tigh is indeed a Cylon, how could we ever bring ourselves to vote for him? We can only if he has Roslyn as a running mate and is running against the villainous Dr. Balthar.
I’ll try to be more serious with the next cartoon.
And somebody’s being even funnier about it than I am HERE.
I should take this occasion to explain myself to everybody. I’m not a Republican. Never have been. I almost always VOTE Republican, because the Democrats are beyond the pale. Most all the Republican flaws are just the same as Democrat flaws, only usually a little watered down. Of course I voted for Ron Paul in the caucuses, and he remains, for me, the measure of all other politicians. This year, I’ve decided to support the Republican ticket, solely for the reason that Palin is on it. I think she has possibilities, as she seems to be relatively free of the horrible political culture you find in both parties, so I want her to have the chance. If I’m disappointed, I’ve been disappointed before.
And now to today’s cartoon. Steve Sailer tells us how we got into this mess.

Since both parties are contributing to this delightful mess, today’s cartoon is bipartisan. We all know that the Democrats did a lot to create this boondoggle, but we mustn’t forget Bush’s contribution. Steve Salier has this link to Bush’s 2002 speech where he advocated granting mortgages to people who couldn’t pay them back.

Just a little bipartisan today. Betcha both parties agree to fix the boondoggle with a bigger boondoggle.

I don’t know if she’ll do it, but McCain, Biden, or Obama certainly won’t.
